Patrick Walsh Empire Holdings

The origins of Patrick Walsh Empire Holdings can be traced back to the early life of its founder, who began his journey in San Diego, California. Born to a family where discipline and education were paramount, with a Naval Officer father and a schoolteacher mother, he was raised with a strong foundation of values. His family’s move to New England when he was just two years old brought him to Boston, Massachusetts, a city known for its rich history and culture.

His academic journey commenced at Wesleyan University, where he pursued a degree in Economics while simultaneously participating in football and baseball. However, a career-altering back injury led to his transfer to Boston College, where he graduated with Honors in Accountancy. This field would later play a pivotal role in his professional life.

After completing his undergraduate studies, Patrick embarked on a path to deepen his financial expertise. He achieved the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, a remarkable accomplishment as he passed all three exam levels on his first attempt. His dedication to financial mastery led him to Columbia University’s Executive Value Investing Program, where he studied under Professor Greenwald. These educational experiences laid the groundwork for his profound understanding of finance and investment.

His early career included roles at Prudential Capital Group and Prudential Securities, specializing in Commercial Real Estate and REITs. He later served as vice president of the Real Estate, Gaming, Lodging, and Leisure Investment Banking Group at Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc. These roles provided him with comprehensive financial industry knowledge and paved the way for establishing Empire Holdings.

Before founding Empire Holdings, the founder gained invaluable experience as a partner in a value-oriented Hedge Fund based in Chicago. This experience was instrumental in shaping his investment philosophy and entrepreneurial vision.
